Christmas 2017
What a jam packed Christmas! Christmas day at Sharons with her family. Boxing Day with William who came home. On the 27th we all went to Anita and Johns. On the 28th Jane and co came down (Steve, Jess, William, Sharon and me went sledging at Leckhampton). The winter sun was spectacular casting long shadows across the slopes - but it was cold.

Horse of the year
Last Friday had a fabulous day out in London to watch the Horse of the year show at Olympia. First we had four in hand Carriage Driving, then the Pony Grand National, followed by the Metropolitan Police Horse demonstration and Show Jumping finale. I've always wanted to go to it - thanks Sharon.

First snow
The snow came thick and fast yesterday and settled overnight. Everything looked wonderful. Its a bit cold working in it today but thankfully I wasn't up the tree just tidying up on the ground.

The weekend
A busy and at times sad weekend. Alan came over on Friday night to stay and catch up with William and meet Sharon - a lovely time. Lois came over and met Loz, Christine's close friend of many years - a great chance for Loz and William to catch up.

Cleeve Walk
Dale came down for the day. A walk up and over Cleeve Hill on a chilly autumn day. The trees holding onto their auburn coloured leaves looked fabulous against the bleakness of the common.
Supper was interesting - the dish that the curry was in, split as I took it out the oven.

Mum
Yesterday - we all said our sad farewells to mum. Following the cremation in Stourbridge, a beautiful service was held at All Saints, Sedgley. A church we went to as children, I got married there, dads service was there and mum spent many hours there, singing with the Mothers Union - it was a service/day that truly reflected mum. God you bless mum.
The previous weekend - mum knitted the jumper in the pictures below for me, nearly forty years ago, there's a thirty four year gap between the two pictures. The latest picture was taken just over a week ago in Devon - where Sharon and myself had a blessed weekend by the sea, walking the coast together.
